Set Up Autopay

When To Use This#

Use this to set whether autopay is on by default for accounts, and whether eligible invoices are charged automatically on a schedule.

Before You Start#

• You need owner access to payment settings.
• Customer payments must be connected first. See

Set Up Customer Payments.

Steps#

1. Open Settings → Customer payments.
2. Set the autopay default for accounts.
3. Choose whether the business auto-run charges eligible invoices on a schedule.
4. Set any related automatic-charging options to match your business's process, then save.

What Happens Next#

With autopay defaults set, eligible accounts use autopay, and — if the auto-run is on — eligible invoices are charged on schedule. Individual saved methods and family settings still apply.

Troubleshooting#

• If an autopay option shows an upgrade prompt, it requires the Pro plan.
• If autopay is not charging as expected, confirm the account has a saved payment method

and that the family's own settings allow autopay.
