When To Use This

Use this article when owners or admins need the Website page to review public status, post or publish notices, cancel live notices, and manage customer-facing status updates.

Before You Start

  • Sign in to the business app and confirm you are in the correct business account.
  • Confirm the staff member is allowed to publish public status updates before changing the business status.
  • Confirm the staff member is allowed to publish notices before creating, publishing, canceling, or reviewing notice history.
  • Review customer-facing copy before saving, publishing, or canceling notices.
  • Follow approved business policy before posting closure, emergency, limited-service, or other public status messages.

Public Status And Notices Overview

The Website page includes the Public status and notices workspace. It shows the current public state, active notices, last update timing, and the message customers may see.

Use this page for customer-facing status communication only after the copy and timing are approved by the business.

Business Status

Use Business status to review the current public state and message. If status controls are visible, staff can choose Open, Limited, or Closed and add a public message when needed.

Save a status update only when the state and message are approved. Do not use this article to decide whether the business should close, limit service, change availability, or promise a reopening time.

Notices And Drafts

Use Post a notice when notice controls are visible. Choose the notice type, enter the title and body, and add optional start and end dates when the notice should be scheduled.

Save the notice as a draft or publish it only when the customer-facing copy is ready. Review notice type, timing, title, and body before publishing.

Live Notices And Cancellations

Review live notices for title, body, timing, notice type, and live state. Cancel a live or historical notice only when cancellation is approved and the action is visible.

Successful create, publish, cancel, and status-update actions should return to the Website page with confirmation messages.

Portal And Onboarding Settings

Older Portal shortcuts open the Website page, not a separate portal settings page. Customer portal setup, onboarding settings, and required document configuration are managed separately from website status and notices.

Use Configure The Customer Portal or Configure Customer Onboarding when the task is portal setup rather than a live public notice.

When Status Or Notice Controls Are Missing

  • If status controls are missing, ask an owner or admin to review public-status access on the Access page. See Manage Access and Invites.
  • If notice controls, drafts, or history are missing, ask an owner or admin to review notice-publishing access on the Access page.
  • If a notice will not save, confirm notice type, title, and body are present.
  • If publish or cancel fails, reopen the Website page, confirm the notice state, and retry only after checking the current copy.
  • If closure, emergency, limited-status, support availability, or customer-facing timing is unclear, pause and get business approval.
