What Happens After Signup

When To Use This

Use this when a new business owner wants to understand what happens immediately after creating a Hello Sniff business account.

Before You Start

  • Use this article after a new owner completes the signup form.
  • Keep support, migration, billing, and trial promises out unless they come from the current business-approved source.
  • Confirm staff understand that signup and staff invitation activation are separate flows.

Signup Hand-Off

After signup, the owner enters the business app for the new business. Hello Sniff then routes the owner into the setup checklist or back to the current setup step if setup has already started.

The owner completes setup, reviews the final confirmation page, and then reaches the main dashboard. Migration source selection may appear during setup, but migration help, timing, and eligibility should follow approved business guidance.

After Signup

  • Staff without owner access may see a holding page until the business owner finishes setup.
  • The dashboard becomes the main starting point after setup is complete.
  • Settings pages are used later to update profile, hours, branding, style, onboarding, migration, billing, services, access, and related configuration.

When The Signup Hand-Off Looks Wrong

  • If the owner is sent back to setup, continue from the current step instead of starting over.
  • If the dashboard appears before setup, setup may already be marked complete.
  • If a staff member cannot proceed, confirm whether they should wait for the owner to finish setup or accept a staff invitation.
  • Ask an owner or admin to review staff access from the Access page when access needs to be changed. See Manage Access and Invites.
