When To Use This
Use this page when a business has selected a migration source during setup and needs to track the handoff work. Migration support is policy-sensitive, so this article explains where to look without promising scope, timing, file coverage, or availability.
Before You Start
- Confirm the business is signed in to the correct business account.
- Confirm whether the owner selected a migration source or chose to start fresh.
- Use only current business-approved migration guidance for supported systems, files, timing, import coverage, and support availability.
- Keep examples generic unless the business has approved exactly what should be shared.
Migration Source
Migration settings show the source selected during setup. If the business is starting fresh, migration tracker steps may not be needed. If a migration source is selected, review the visible handoff steps and follow the current migration plan.
Do not change the migration source or make commitments from memory. If the source looks wrong, confirm the owner's setup choice before advising the business.
Handoff Tracker
Migration settings may show steps such as requesting migration, sending an export, and reviewing imported records. Mark a tracker step complete only when the business has completed that handoff item under the approved migration plan.
Use Families, Dogs, and Documents pages to review imported records after migration work is ready for review. Keep record-review guidance separate from any promise about data coverage or cleanup.
Starting Fresh
If the business is starting fresh, use customer, family, dog, service, room, and document workflows to build records manually. Do not imply that starting fresh includes migration support.
When Migration Details Are Missing
- If tracker status cannot load, refresh and capture the alert if it continues.
- If the migration source looks wrong, verify the source selected during setup.
- If the business asks how long migration takes, what files are supported, which records are included, or whether support is available, stop and use current business-approved migration guidance.
