When To Use This

Use this page when the owner is creating the first set of rooms, yards, kennels, fields, zones, or other property areas during setup. These areas help staff organize dogs during daily operations.

Before You Start

  • Use setup to create the first set of property areas.
  • Have area names and optional capacities ready.
  • Confirm whether capacity should be treated as guidance or an operational limit before describing it to staff.
  • Use Rooms and Fields management later for operational review and changes.

Property Area Rows

The setup area form includes rows for the spaces the business uses. Review any default suggestions, then add, rename, or remove rows so the list matches the property.

Choose the area type that best matches each space, such as field, room, kennel, yard, zone, or other. Add capacity only when the business wants that number saved.

After Areas Are Saved

Saving property areas marks that setup item complete and moves setup to Business hours. Blank rows are ignored.

After setup, staff can review property-area details from Rooms and Fields workflows. Do not describe capacity as a hard booking, movement, or staffing limit unless enforcement has been confirmed.

When Area Setup Does Not Save

  • If the page says at least one area is required, add a named area.
  • If names duplicate, make each area name unique.
  • Do not describe capacity as a hard booking or movement limit unless enforcement has been confirmed.
