When To Use This
Use Reports to review operational summaries, choose date ranges, export CSV reports, and move into Today View, Schedule (the Bookings board), Billing, or Documents for follow-up.
Before You Start
- Sign in to the Hello Sniff business app and confirm you are in the correct business account.
- Reports appears in the navigation menu only for owner and manager accounts. That is a menu convenience, not a lock: any signed-in account in your business can open Reports and download exports.
- Decide internally who may run and share exports, and agree on that before you share report files.
- Treat downloaded CSV files as sensitive business and customer data.
- A report export does not guarantee accounting, regulatory, or data-retention outcomes; those depend on your business's own processes.
- Use the linked workflow pages to correct source records after you identify an issue.
Reports Page Overview
The Reports page combines operational summary areas with CSV export options. Use it to spot follow-up needs, choose a report type, set a date range, and download the selected CSV.
Reports are operational cues. Use the source workflow pages when a record needs review or correction.
Summary Areas
Review the Attendance summary, Schedule and weekend load, Billing exceptions, and Records watch sections. These sections help identify where to look next; they do not replace the Today View, Schedule, Billing, or Documents pages.
Each summary section ends with a button that opens the matching workflow page: Open Today View, Open Schedule, Open Billing, or Open Documents. Open Schedule takes you to the Bookings board.
Date Ranges And CSV Exports
Select the export you need, such as Attendance, Reservations, Reservation summary, Vaccines and documents, Invoices, Payments, or Vaccination coverage.
The Export reports table lists each report with its description and its Date field, and the selected report is marked. Review that date-field label before choosing dates, because different reports measure different dates. Invoices and payments fall back to the record's created date when no issued or processed date is set, so a few rows can fall outside what the label implies. Choose From and To dates, then select Export report to download the CSV.
Store and share downloaded files according to your business's data-handling rules.
What Happens Next
- Successful exports download a CSV file for the selected report and date range.
- Exported CSVs can include dog, family, booking, attendance, document, vaccination, invoice, and payment data.
- The Reservations export covers each booking's date, dog, family, service, status, source, eligibility decision, warnings, blocking reasons, created date, notes, itemized reservation add-ons, and the active add-on total. Canceled add-ons remain labeled in the details for history but do not increase the active total.
- The Reservation summary keeps the reservation count tied to parent bookings. Its add-on details include the parent reservation date so separate stays remain distinguishable; add-ons do not create extra reservations in that count.
- The Invoices export includes the recorded line-item descriptions and amounts, including reservation add-on charges or credits already present on the invoice.
- The Vaccination coverage export covers only dogs marked active, so inactive dogs are left out. It also always includes entries that have no expiry date, such as a missing vaccine, no matter which dates you choose. Read it as a working list, not a complete compliance roster.
- If the report choice is invalid, you leave a date blank, enter an invalid date, set a start date after the end date, or the underlying data fails to load, you are returned to the Reports page with the reason shown in a notice at the top.
- That return trip does not keep your selections. The form comes back with the default report and the default date range, so choose the report and dates again before you export.
- Report summaries are operational cues; the report page is not a full analytics or accounting workspace.
When Reports Or Exports Do Not Work
- If Export report returns an error, re-select the report type and date range, then try again.
- If a "Choose a plan to export reports" notice appears near the top of the page and a View plans button replaces the export form, the summaries still load but CSV exports are turned off. This happens when your trial has ended, the subscription is read-only or canceled, or the account is closed. Select View plans to move to an active plan, then export again.
- If the From date is after the To date, you are sent back with the range reset to the default, so set both dates again before exporting.
- If source data fails to load, refresh and retry before contacting support.
- If report contents look wrong, check the source records in Today View, Schedule, Billing, or Documents.
- How long to keep exported CSVs and whether a report can be used for accounting or compliance depend on your business's own policy.
