When To Use This
Use this article when you already activated your customer portal account but cannot remember the password or need to choose a new one.
Before You Start
- Use the email address for your customer portal account.
- Keep your email inbox available so you can open the reset message.
- If you never activated your account, activate it first instead of resetting the password.
- Do not share reset links, security codes, or passwords in support messages.
Reset Request
Open the customer portal sign-in page for your business and select the password reset option. Enter the email address used for your customer portal account, then submit the reset request.
Reset Email
Open the reset email when it arrives and follow the link from that message. Use the newest reset email if you requested more than one.
If the email does not arrive, check the email address, spam folder, junk folder, or promotions folder before requesting another link.
New Password
Enter and confirm your new password. The portal requires at least 8 characters.
What Happens Next
After the password is changed, the old password will no longer sign in to the customer portal. Depending on your household setup, the portal may open the Home page or ask you to finish the Onboarding page.
Troubleshooting
- If you do not receive a reset email, check the email address and your spam or promotions folders.
- If the reset link is expired or already used, request a new reset link.
- If the page says the business was not found, use your business's customer portal link.
- If you were invited but never activated your account, use the activation flow.
- Do not send reset links, passwords, or screenshots that show private account details through support messages.
