Activate a customer portal account from an invitation or setup link.

When To Use This

Use this article when your business invited you to the customer portal and you need to create your first portal password.

Before You Start

  • Open the full activation link from your business's invitation.
  • Use the email address that received the invitation.
  • Choose a password you can use later on the customer portal sign-in page. The portal requires at least 8 characters.
  • Do not share your invitation link, activation code, or password in support messages.

Open the full invitation link from your business. The link tells the portal which business invited you and may fill in the activation code automatically.

If the page says the business was not found, go back to the original invitation and open the full link again instead of using a copied or generic address.

Name And Password

Enter the name you want shown for your portal sign-in, then create and confirm your password. The password is private to you and should not be sent to your business or support.

Submit the form after the name and password fields are complete.

After Activation

Once activation succeeds, your customer portal account is ready to use. If your account is already linked to a household, the portal opens the Home page. If setup still needs to be completed, the portal opens the Onboarding page.

Troubleshooting

  • If the invitation link is expired, invalid, or already used, ask your business to send a new invitation.
  • If the activation code is blank, reopen the full invitation link or use the code from the invitation.
  • If the portal says the business was not found, open the exact link from the invitation instead of a copied or generic URL.
  • If you already activated your account, sign in normally or reset your password if needed.
  • If your email address is not accepted, confirm that it matches the address used for the invitation.
