When To Use This
Use this article when owners or managers need the Billing and subscription page to view the current plan, subscription status, trial state, owner-only plan actions, and billing portal entry point.
Before You Start
- Sign in to the business app as an owner or manager.
- Ask an owner to handle billing portal, checkout, or plan-selection actions when those controls are not visible.
- Confirm the business account before opening billing or subscription actions.
- Use the current billing page or business-approved pricing source for plan names, prices, limits, checkout wording, billing portal capabilities, cancellation terms, trial claims, and past-due instructions.
Billing And Subscription Overview
Open Settings and choose Billing and plan. The Billing and subscription page shows the current subscription state for the business account.
Use this page as the visible source for the current plan label, subscription status, trial state, and owner-only billing actions. Do not restate prices, limits, renewal timing, cancellation terms, tax treatment, or billing portal capabilities from memory.
Current Plan And Status
Review the plan label and subscription status shown on the page. The page may show trial, active, past-due, canceled, expired, or similar status language depending on the account.
If the account is in a trial, review the visible trial information before advising the business. If the account is past due, canceled, or expired, use the visible page guidance and the current business-approved billing source before taking action.
What Owners And Managers Can See
- Owners and managers can view the Billing and subscription page.
- Owners can see plan-selection actions when the current tier allows selection from the page.
- Owners can see the billing portal action when the account has a subscription record that supports a portal session.
- Managers may be able to view plan and status information without seeing owner-only billing actions.
- Older subscription links open the Billing and subscription page, so there is not a separate subscription page to manage.
Plan Selection And Billing Portal
Use plan-selection controls only when they are visible to an owner and the intended change has been confirmed against the current business-approved pricing source.
Use the billing portal action only when it is visible and the business is ready to manage subscription billing through the connected billing surface. The exact portal capabilities depend on the active billing configuration and should not be restated from memory.
What Happens Next
- Checkout and billing portal actions should open the expected hosted billing flow or return a visible error.
- If a hosted billing flow opens, continue only with the business's approved subscription process.
- If the action returns to the app, review the visible success or error state before advising the business.
- This article does not list plan prices, plan limits, cancellation terms, refund handling, taxes, failed-payment timelines, or subscription claims.
When Subscription Controls Are Missing
- If the Billing and subscription page is unavailable, confirm the user is signed in as an owner or manager.
- If plan-selection or billing portal controls are missing, confirm the user has owner access and that the subscription state supports the action.
- If owner access should be available but is not, ask an owner or admin to review access on the Access page. See Manage Access and Invites.
- If the subscription load error appears, refresh once and escalate with the business account context and visible error message.
- If the account is past due, canceled, expired, or trialing, use the visible product state plus current business guidance before giving the customer or business an answer.
- If a manager needs to change billing, ask an owner to complete the owner-only action.
