When To Use This

Use this page when staff need to review the business's rooms, fields, yards, kennels, zones, or other operational areas. The Rooms and Fields page shows area details, current dog and staff context, capacity watch, active state, and area settings.

Before You Start

  • Sign in to the business app.
  • Use the Rooms and Fields page for the area directory.
  • Use the Schedule page to move a dog between areas during attendance.
  • Use a staff member who has permission to manage services or operational areas when changing an area name, type, capacity, or active state.
  • Confirm whether saved capacity should be treated as guidance or an operational limit before using it in staff decisions.

Rooms And Fields Overview

The Rooms and Fields page lists the operational spaces the business uses. Start with the summary cards for area count, dogs placed today, staff coverage, and capacity watch, then search or filter by area name, type, or use.

Older Property links open the Rooms and Fields experience. Treat Rooms and Fields as the visible page name.

Area Details

Open an area to review current dogs, staff coverage, capacity, area identity, recent activity, and saved settings. This drawer helps staff understand the area before deciding whether to update settings or move dogs from the Schedule page.

Use the Today View or Schedule link when a dog needs to move areas. Movement belongs in the dog side sheet on the Schedule page, not in the area settings drawer.

Area Settings

Staff with the right access may update an area name, area type, saved capacity, or active/inactive status. Confirm the business's area naming, capacity, and active-state policy before saving.

Do not describe capacity as a hard booking, care, staffing, or movement limit unless enforcement has been confirmed by the business.

When Area Controls Are Missing

  • If area settings are view-only, ask an owner or admin to review area-management access on the Access page. See Manage Access and Invites.
  • If search has no matches, clear the search or check the area name/type.
  • If capacity watch shows an area at or over capacity, treat it as operational information unless the business has a stricter policy.
  • If a dog needs to move areas, open the Schedule page and use the dog side sheet movement controls.
  • If an area should not be available for current work, confirm the active-state policy before changing it.
