When To Use This
Use this page when staff are running day-of work from the Schedule page: arrivals, check-ins, no-shows, checkouts, room or field movement, visit completion, bulk checkout, checklist items, and vaccination review.
Before You Start
- Use the Schedule page as the current daily operations workspace.
- Confirm the selected date before changing attendance.
- Confirm the staff member is allowed to update attendance before they check in, check out, move, or correct a dog.
- Use business policy for no-show, absent, complete-visit, customer communication, and correction decisions.
Schedule Page Overview
The Schedule page is the day-of operations board. It groups dogs by waiting arrivals, live rooms or fields, checked-out dogs, and the all-dogs directory. Start by confirming the date, then review the summary counts before taking action.
Older Operations links open the same Schedule page experience. Treat the Schedule page as the visible workspace.
Arrivals And Check-In
Use waiting arrivals for dogs expected on the selected date but not yet checked in. Open the dog side sheet, confirm the dog and service, then check in only when the dog has arrived and the business process allows it.
Use no-show or absent actions only when the business process calls for that correction. Keep customer follow-up separate from the attendance action unless the business has approved the message.
Room And Field Movement
For checked-in dogs, use the dog side sheet to review the current room or field and move the dog when staff need to update placement. Confirm the destination area before saving the movement.
Capacity warnings are operational context. Do not describe them as hard care, booking, or staffing limits unless the business has confirmed that policy.
Vaccination And Readiness Context
Use the vaccination or readiness drawer when a dog needs document or readiness context before a day-of decision. If the page points to missing or expired information, review the dog profile and document pages before changing operational status.
Checklist And End-Of-Day Work
Staff with a linked employee record may see shift checklist items. Use those checklist items for visible shift tasks only.
Use checkout, bulk checkout, or complete-visit actions only for dogs in the correct attendance state. Complete-visit and correction actions should follow business-approved closeout policy.
When Day-Of Actions Are Missing
- If check-in, checkout, room movement, or bulk checkout actions are missing, first confirm the dog is in the correct visible attendance state.
- If absent, no-show, or complete-visit actions are missing, confirm the correction applies to the current dog state.
- If actions should be available but are still missing, ask an owner or admin to review attendance access on the Access page. See Manage Access and Invites.
- If drop-in check-in is unavailable, confirm the business has the needed drop-in service setup.
- If vaccination details are missing, open the drawer again or review the dog profile and documents.
- If an action fails, use the visible error and do not repeat correction actions until the current attendance state is clear.
